Hello, my name is Spencer Smitheman. I am a student at the University of Alberta, and a passionate cyclist. I have been racing since I was 8 years old and have a love for the sport. I race all disciplines in cycling, road, track, cyclocross, and mountain bike. For the 2009 season I have joined the Los Angeles, California based NOW MS Society cycling team. NOW is a U25 development team with an impressive history and ambitions in high level American amateur and some professional races.

My cycling career thus far has taken me through Canada, the US, Belgium, Holland, France, Germany, and Mexico. The sport is a dream of mine which I continue to pursue and in turn, it allows me to travel across the globe.

As for my schooling, I am attending the University of Alberta and majoring in Political Science. I have yet to decide what I will do in regards to university as I spend much of my time pursuing a career in professional cycling.
